Legendary piano-playing musician, Stevie Wonder has released 2 new songs: Where Is Our Love Song and Can’t Put It In The Hands Of Fate. The songs dropped when music lovers around the world least expected as there wasn’t a tease or prior notification.
70-year old Stevie, used the release of the songs to announce his new label So What The Fuss Music, after parting ways with Motown Records a record label he’s being signed to since age of 11.
The 25-time Grammy Award winner made the announcement in a virtual news conference, where he also added it was the first time he had released two new songs on the same day.
All proceeds from Where Is Our Love Song a melody which Stevie said he’s being writing since he was 18, will go towards the US-based non-profit organisation Feeding America. This track features Grammy-winning guitarist Gary Clarke Jr.
His second release, Can’t Put It In The Hands Of Fate, a song about the current state of the world. Features popular rappers Busta Rhymes, Rapsody, Cordae and Chika.
Wonder said “Thinking about where we [are] in the world and thinking about how this is the crucial time. We can’t put it into the hands of fate. Ain’t nobody got time to wait. We can’t put it the hands of fate, finding a cure for this dreadful virus. We got to get on our knees and pray or whatever you do.”
