The Weeknd dropped a new song titled “Smile,” his first and only collaboration with late rapper Juice WRLD.
Juice WRLD had before his death, hinted at the possibility of the pair working together in a tweet last September. “Me and the Weeknd would make a diamond record…” he tweeted. The rapper died in December at the age of 21.
Juice WRLD’s legacy lives on as his posthumously released album Legends Never Die has been breaking records since its release this year, topping the Billboard 200. Making Juice the ninth artist to secure a No. 1 on the chart both when alive and after death.
The visual for Smile animated by KDC Visions, illustrates the message of the song’s sentiments, which yearn for a loved one to find happiness, despite the possibility that they may no longer be together.
