Africans are set to take the fight against Xenophobia and gender-based violence to the dance floor.
The Africans Unite concert is a collaborative project that aims to rebuild trust and respect among African nations by changing the current narrative to that of unity and solidarity.
The concert will be headlined by Jidenna, Burna Boy (both of Nigerian decent) and Kwesta (South African Hip-Hop veteran).
It will be a 2-day affair, taking place in two provinces. On Saturday, 23rd November, it will held be in Cape Town, at The Lawns, Camps Bay. The show will close off in Tshwane, the next day, (24th November) at the Sun Arena.
Jidenna, who is currently on tour promoting his 85 To Africa album, has been confirmed to perform at the concert. While Burna Boy is coming fresh after recently been named MTV EMA African Music Act.
The African Giant announced that he will donate part of the proceeds from the concert to victims of the attacks. He is also scheduled to headline the Afropunk festival in Johannesburg later in December.
