Plot-synopsis
Detective Andre (Chadwick) has a notorious reputation of shooting at least one crime suspect every month. He’s unapologetic about his rising kill rate as he explains to Internal Affairs that they all deserved their fates, so let’s move on, shall we?
When eight of his uniformed comrades are slaughtered one night by Ray (Taylor Kitsch) and his accomplice Michael (Stephan James) in the course of a cocaine heist.
JK Simmons, the petrified police chief gives Davis the “cop killer” killer the nod to track down the culprits with the assistance of similarly brutal anti-narcotics officer (Sienna Miller).
When Davies (Chadwick) figures out they’re in Manhattan, he orders the closure of 21 bridges’ entrance and exit to the island so as to trap the criminals. He and his Team have just one night to catch the killers before the city wakes.
Chadwick Boseman has a knack for being awesome in his roles, making it look like he was born to play these legends. Even when his surroundings are less than extraordinary, he carries off the movie with his quiet charisma, intelligence, flair and style.
21 Brigdes was produced by creative brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo (directors of “Avengers: Endgame” and two other Marvel movies that starred Chadwick).
