Fresh off her five Grammy nominations, H.E.R. showed off her multi-talents during a stripped-down performance for NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series.
The R&B darling delivered a four-song set starting with “Going (Interlude)” off last month’s I Used to Know Her: Part 2 EP.
“I’m so excited to be here. This is like a dream come true for me,” she told the audience. “I feel like Tiny Desk is the best way to experience your favorite artist, not that I’m your favorite artist, but maybe me being here today says a lot.”
Backed by her band, she continued with “Feel a Way” off The Prelude and Part 2‘s “Hard Place,” strumming her guitar while showcasing soulful vibes. She closed out the stirring set with her Grammy-nominated hit “Focus.”
H.E.R.’s breakout year capped off with five Grammy nominations including Album of the Year (H.E.R.), Best New Artist, Best R&B Album (H.E.R.), Best R&B Song (“Focus”), and Best R&B Performance (“Best Part” featuring Daniel Caesar).
