Soon after the release of her new surprise single, ‘thank u, next’, Ariana Grande released the music video for her single ‘breathin’.
The lyrics in the song allude to Ariana’s struggle with anxiety. An issue she opened up about in an interview with the BBC. “You have ups and downs and sometimes you’ll go weeks at a time where you will be crushing it and there will be no anxiety…and then something will happen that can trigger it and then you have a couple of down days.”
In the clip directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the pop superstar is seen at a train station while the world passes her by at a dizzying pace. Grande then stuns in a sparkly black top and her usual aesthetic – an oversized blazer. The video finishes with Ari literally swinging amongst the clouds.
