Artists have been on a roll lately, releasing visual works for their new singles and we couldn’t be more happier. We’ve decided to select our top five videos to watch for September and October. Let us know which one is your favorite!
Jazmine Sullivan ft Bryson Tiller – Insecure
Jazmine Sullivan and Bryson Tiller recreated a scene from the hit show on HBO called Insecure for the official music video to the title track, off the show’s Season 2 soundtrack.
The video was shot at the show’s Inglewood Avenue apartment and the drama unfolds as the R&B stars go back and forth with their relationship issues. The visual also features several characters from the show in the house party themed video.
Sam Smith – Too Good At Goodbyes
If there is something Sam Smith is good at doing, then it’s knowing how to put you in all your feels. In the video offering of his new single, he explores love in all it’s various forms and why sometimes it’s much easier to love, love from a far.
We are super thrilled with Sam Smith’s new music. We had to add one more from him.
Listen to his new single called “Pray” below:
Shekhinah – Suited
South African artist, Shekhinah is definitely one to watch. Her sultry pop voice with its soulful flow is an undeniable juxtaposition that comes together beautifully, with a sound so distinct on every track she delivers. “Suited” was produced by Luke Goliath from Port Elizabeth, South Africa and the video was Directed by Nate Thomas.
Maroon 5 ft SZA – What Lovers Do
We love this song but we can all agree that the visuals for it are not what we expected. The video has a cinematic fantasy feel to it with Adam Levine and SZA running through a field, where sunflowers sing, butterflies float around, dinosaurs roam, and gravity is not an obstacle. All over the place in our opinion but nonetheless, it is fun to watch.
Young Thug ft Future – Relationship
“Relationship” is a certified pop banger from rapper Young Thug and has been on our playlists for a while. The visuals dropped recently and we are very pleased with the outcome. It hones in a 90s feel VHS aesthetic with a ‘Girls Gone Wild’ themed yacht party that is fitting to the song.
